Qualified candidates will have recent acute care hospital experience in a facility with 180 beds. The position offers a competitive compensating package ranging from $200-$275K plus health and retirement benefits.
The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is the highest-level nurse management position and a member of the Clinical Leadership Team. The CNO oversees all nurses and nurse managers to ensure consistency with practice standards and institutional goals.
Provide administrative oversight of all nursing operations
Ensure patient care standards through quality improvement and staff training
Meet or exceed regulatory standards for nursing and care delivery
Supervise nursing leadership (e.g., Director or Associate Directors of Nursing)
Maximize efficiency and quality in patient care delivery
Meet clinical quality improvement targets
Optimize medical team staffing
Innovate solutions to meet organizational priorities
Participate in and lead quality improvement initiatives
Ensure proper nurse recruiting, hiring, onboarding, retention, and staffing.

Oversee performance evaluations, employee guidance, and ongoing personnel development
Plan and operate within approved budget
Report to the Executive Team and Clinic Board as needed
Qualifications
1. Active and current professional registered nurse licensed in the state in which he or she practices is required.
2. An academic degree in nursing is required, and a postgraduate degree in nursing or related field (may include health care administration or business administration) or a written plan with specified timelines to obtain a postgraduate degree is required.
3. Current BLS (AHA) certificate and maintain current.
4. At least five years of progressive management experience in an acute care hospital environment, as a Nursing Director of multiple, complex nursing departments.
5. Minimum of two (2) years previous leadership or administrative experience within Long Term Acute Care Hospitals.
