Position Overview: The Default Reporting Specialist is tasked with managing investor portfolio reporting for delinquent loans. This role involves resolving escalated loan-level issues, reviewing reports, addressing operational concerns, and ensuring top-tier service to meet investor requirements. The specialist will monitor and update reports to guarantee accurate investor reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy of Default Codes for all investors.
- Process daily and month-end Edit Reports.
- Submit manual events for VA loans through the VALERI system, ensuring acceptance of event codes. Address any rejections by notifying the appropriate personnel for corrections.
- Communicate with the VA office to resolve technical issues related to the VALERI system.
- Verify that VA loans are properly insured for reporting purposes.
- Submit Fannie Mae Daily files through the Portal by specified deadlines.
- Assist with mid-month and month-end Default Investor reporting, ensuring system updates and timely submission of reports to investors.
- Update coding on our system and FHA Connection for the HUD Single Family Default Monitoring Report.
- Report redemption dates, title acquisition dates, foreclosure sales, deeds in lieu (DIL), and short sales to investors.
- Escalate any deficiencies, problems, or concerns that may pose a potential risk to management.
- Respond to investor inquiries via phone or email.
- Provide assistance to investors experiencing issues.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in Default Reporting.
- Proficiency with MSP and Black Knight products.
- Preferred experience with FHA and VA.
