Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Accounting to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in private equity-backed healthcare companies. This role requires a proven track record in leading accounting functions, including month-end close, payroll, and treasury management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage the month-end close process, including preparation and review of financial statements.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions.
- Manage treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and investment strategies.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 9 years in a leadership role within a private equity-backed healthcare company.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of managing month-end close, payroll, and treasury functions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
