Job Title: Driver Payroll Processor

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Driver Payroll Processor to join our trucking company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing payroll for our drivers, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. This role involves managing payroll records, resolving discrepancies, and providing excellent customer service to our drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for drivers, including calculating hours worked, overtime, and deductions.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely and accurate payment to drivers.
- Verify and reconcile payroll data, including time sheets, mileage logs, and other relevant documents.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
- Research, investigate and professionally communicate items requiring special handling and treatment (i.e. driver reimbursements, advances, trip sheet info, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
- Assist with year-end payroll processing, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
- Provide excellent customer service to drivers, addressing payroll-related inquiries and concerns.
- Collaborate with the HR and accounting departments to ensure seamless payroll processing.
- Stay updated on payroll regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in the trucking or transportation industry.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
