This role is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
Salary: $110K base, 15% bonus based on company and individual performance (85% variable)
Onsite: 5 days a week
Location: Newport, TN
Job Summary:
- Forecasting, SharePoint, Excel:
- Financial presenting, analyze data trends, source of truth
- Budgeting process:
- Get out of the comfort zone and meet with leaders to see where they are moving and what levers are being pulled to discover trends to change the numbers.
Requirements:
- 7 years in manufacturing environments
- Thick skin, ability to navigate challenges
- BPX (AS400) or SAP experience
- Bachelor's in accounting, finance, economics, math, or business administration
- Stable job history (no frequent changes)
Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on relevant policies, directives, and accounting standards.
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of financial statements, activity reports, forecasts, budgets, and regulatory reports.
- Provide accurate and predictable weekly estimates; monitor, review, and certify income statement transactions monthly.
- Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, ensuring accuracy.
- Advise on short-term and long-term financial goals, policies, and actions.
- Act as a key partner to the site leadership.
- Continuously review and audit standard costing of produced parts.
- Attend daily operations team meetings.
- Review and validate cycle counting procedures weekly, including independent test counts and daily inventory transaction reviews.
- Certify the completeness and accuracy of recorded inventory monthly and complete closing procedures.
- Monitor financial activities, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Strictly adhere to internal control policies and procedures, ensuring team compliance.
- Organize, control, and analyze accounting information to meet objectives and obligations for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (REQUIRED)
- Advanced degrees/certifications are ideal
- Consistent tenure in past roles
- 7 years’ experience in manufacturing environments (REQUIRED)
- Strong management, communication, organizational skills
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office
