What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grant Analyst/Accountant (strong budgeting exp) MUST have Not for profit exp position at LHH?
A $200 million Not for Profit is seeking a Grant Analyst/ Accountant to join their Finance team. The company has experience a tremendous amount of growth and this is a newly created position. The Analyst is primarily responsible for overseeing the budget for multiple entities, creating quarterly reporting package and preparing various adhoc reports.
Roles and Responsibilities:
o Revenue and expense reporting for programs and entities
Perform variance analyst on multiple programs
Report to the funding source ( vouchering)
Perform budget modification
o Consolidated Quarterly reporting to senior management including commentaries
· Work with management and subject matter experts to help define new reporting requirements and provide insight to senior management.
Qualifications:
· 3 years’ experience in financial analysis. BS Accounting or Finance required.
Experience managing the budgets either (multi programs (not for profit)
Experience performing variance analysis, explaining differences and assisting in the preparation of quarterly reports that provide insight at a consolidated level
Experience performing various sorting functions , for example request to isolate a specific expense for an assigned region, perform a trend analysis and then explain to management
Experience developing budgets, Some of their affiliates may need assistance in developing a budget. They receive funding through the federal government with strict terms. If you have experience reviewing contracts to build a budget it would be desired but not required.
