What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Partner position at LHH?
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily interactions with employees, managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
- Execute onboarding processes for new hires, including orientation, employee handbook review, benefits overview, E-Verify, and background checks. Maintain new hire files.
- Address and resolve complex employee relations issues through effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Enhance manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems, evaluating potential solutions, and providing coaching and counseling.
- Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Partner with the safety team to promote a culture of workplace safety, including workers' compensation administration, light duty programs, and injury tracking.
- Maintain a positive and knowledgeable relationship with labor unions in the assigned territory, where applicable.
- Administer employee benefits (enrollment, claims, terminations, issues) in collaboration with providers and PEO – Health & Welfare Benefits and 401(k) retirement plans.
Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Organized with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently
- Associate's degree in human resources, business, management, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4 years of experience in human resource management preferred
- Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state employment laws
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday (8:00am – 4:30pm)
Compensation:
- $50,000 - $60,000/Year
