Junior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Junior Accountant in Westchester, IL. They are open to candidates with staff accounting experience or entry level candidates, but the candidates must have minimum a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance in order to qualify.

Location: 100% Onsite in Westchester, IL

Type: Direct Hire

Salary: $50-65K (DOE)

Responsibilities

• Help prepare financial documents, such as balance sheets, income statements, and other reports.
• Keep accounts payable and receivable records up to date.
• Record and process journal entries to ensure accurate documentation of business transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist in preparing tax returns and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Contribute to the budgeting process and assist with financial forecasting.
• Aid senior accountants and financial managers with audits and other accounting tasks.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
• Generate regular financial reports and summaries for management review.
• Perform additional accounting-related duties as needed.
