What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Associate - Intellectual Property position at LHH?
LHH is partnering with the Nashville office of a highly regarded full-service law firm to recruit an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years of sophisticated, complex litigation experience in a large law firm or IP boutique firm environment. Prior experience with intellectual property litigation in federal courts and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) is strongly preferred, though candidates with strong litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in IP (patent, copyright, and trademark law) will also be considered.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with all pre-trial matters for complex intellectual property cases, including managing written discovery, taking and defending depositions, procuring and preparing expert witnesses, and trial preparation.
- Prepare pleadings, pre-trial motions, and briefs, including conducting extensive legal research into novel and complex areas of intellectual property law.
- Argue motions and attend hearings and trials
Qualifications Sought:
- JD from an ABA acreddited law school and outstanding academic credentials
- 2 years of relevant experience in complex litigation, IP, or a combination of the two
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Tennessee license or eligbility for admission to the Tennessee Bar
