What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Production Scheduler position at LHH?
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Master Production Scheduler Manager just north of Indianapolis, IN (relocation assistance available). This is a position that has responsibility for all aspects of metal extrusion/casting production scheduling and material flow for the Plant. The successful candidate will be able to manage and adjust plans based on known shortages and logistics risks and put in place a production plan that will be followed. This position will also be responsible for leading continued action plans to improve down time related to material flow. Further, this position includes interacting directly with customers. The company offers competitive salary range $100-125k, affordable health care benefits, 401k matching and generous PTO.
Position Responsibilities
• Create material forecasts (both raw and finished goods) based on history, market trends, scrap rates and other necessary inputs; measure the accuracy of the forecasts and implement accuracy improvement actions
• Produce production schedules for all value streams
• Report compliance to schedule and inputs that lead to deviation
• Drive recovery plan with suppliers as needed
• Monitor both lead times and cycle times in the process to ensure that material is flowing at the proper rate
• Audit material flow procedures for compliance
• Manage delivery and pack out plan for value stream
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree (business, engineering or materials management preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production scheduling or material management FOR METAL EXTRUSION OR CASTING PLANTS
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel
• Proven interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels in and outside ZF in a professional manner
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including ability to identify and resolve issues and challenges
• Must be able to influence those not in direct chain of command
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects
• Must be effective in a team environment and be able to work independently
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Strong dedication and commitment to quality customer service and satisfaction while following through on assigned project
• ERP system experience required
