Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with all phases of personal injury litigation, including pre-litigation, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial matters.
- Draft, prepare, and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, subpoenas, and discovery responses.
- Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate and assist with the discovery process, including gathering and organizing evidence, conducting document reviews, and drafting discovery requests.
- Prepare and summarize medical records, police reports, and other case-related documents.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trial.
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, and experts to obtain case-related information.
- Prepare exhibits and trial binders for hearings and trials.
- Handle administrative tasks such as calendaring deadlines, scheduling appointments, and filing documents.
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent education/experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a personal injury litigation paralegal.
- Strong understanding of personal injury litigation processes and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in case management software, Microsoft Office, and legal research tools.
