Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Production Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the timely release of work orders, purchase orders, and stock availability. You will implement, control, and maintain production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the timely release of work orders, purchase orders, and stock availability.
- Implement, control, and maintain production schedules.
- Acknowledge all customer orders and develop plans to deliver on-time based on the production schedule.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through open communication and teamwork.
- Maintain active involvement in problem-solving and perform corrective action analysis on recurring problems and published data.
- Help control and recommend in-plant manufacturing inventories, including component parts, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Communicate the status of work in progress and coordinate with the Production Scheduling and Procurement Manager regarding delivery lead times, past due orders, and schedule change requirements.
- Interface with factory supervision and appropriate resources to ensure all schedules are met and work orders are assigned correctly.
- Develop, control, and maintain job on-time delivery schedules. Coordinate manufacturing efforts to maximize schedule integrity from the lowest component level to the completed assemblies.
- Communicate material goods needs with the necessary individuals to minimize the occurrence of material shortages.
- Maintain the integrity of the daily work center report and schedule accordingly.
- Monitor MRP reports and request appropriate changes as necessary.
- Expedite critical shortages to ensure schedules are met.
Requirements:
- Experience with ORACLE or similar systems.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience in Materials Management, Inventory Management, MRP, and MPS.
- Good knowledge of material control systems such as MRP, SAP, and Oracle Systems.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
