What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Agent position at LHH?
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word; experience with Oracle or other ERP systems is a plus
- Familiar with basic office equipment and processes
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel as required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license required
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand customer needs and product specifications for purchases.
- Assist with sourcing, qualifying, and evaluating potential suppliers.
- Manage and maintain the approved supplier base, including creating contracts and blanket purchase orders within Oracle.
- Facilitate the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process and evaluate supplier bids.
- Analyze quotations, review contracts, and make informed supplier selections.
- Negotiate standard and blanket contracts, as well as payment terms and conditions.
- Support the resolution of any invoicing discrepancies.
- Monitor performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure supplier adherence to corporate and customer performance standards.
- Assist the Purchasing Agent with complex contract negotiations.
- Qualify new suppliers and manage onboarding, including transitioning suppliers to iSupplier.
- Contribute to automation efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
