What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Specialist position at LHH?
LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to join our client on a contract basis. This role will be based onsite in Hilliard, OH, and will play a crucial part in supporting our purchasing department. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, experience in processing payments, and the ability to perform cost calculations accurately. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred. Our client is looking to move and start someone as early as this week!
Responsibilities:
- Support the purchasing department by generating reports and verifying pricing for accounts payable to ensure accurate payment processing.
- Pay invoices promptly and accurately, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
- Perform cost calculations using templated formulas, with a strong understanding of the underlying formulas to verify accuracy.
- Utilize Excel for various tasks, including V-Lookups and complex formulas, to manage and analyze data effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred to facilitate communication with international vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, Purchasing, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including V-Lookups and formulas.
- Previous experience in a purchasing, finance, or logistics role is highly desirable.
