Primary Responsibilities

  • Create weekly maintenance schedules in coordination with the plant operations.
  • Maintain CMMS for assets, PM schedules, WO (work order) backlog, etc.
  • Analyze work order backlog and prioritize work.
  • Create new PMs and job plans from equipment manuals and best maintenance practices.
  • Ensure work orders being scheduled have been appropriately planned with necessary resources, parts, tools, and equipment requirements.
  • Align work schedule with labor, equipment, and contractor availability to build maintenance schedules looking ahead 1-4 weeks.
  • Incorporate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly planned work into schedules.
  • Build detailed maintenance schedules for planned shutdowns.
  • Review completed WOs/PMs and take any necessary actions.
  • Ensure any breakdown work is captured in a WO.
  • Prepare weekly reporting of data collected, providing downtime information, machine efficiency, required replacement parts and coordination of downtime activities.
  • Evaluate and update parts inventory based on criticality, usage, and ensure stock is maintained.
  • Identification and procurement of key critical maintenance parts for equipment repairs.
  • Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA); track and implement resulting action items.
  • Contacting, coordinating with, and supporting outside contractors to ensure timely repairs, special PM activities, modification of existing equipment or commissioning new equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and regulatory policies and practices.

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years industrial planning experience or a minimum of 5 years industrial maintenance experience in any discipline or a mixture of the 2.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English, short correspondence, and memos, such as supervisory instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and work orders.
  • Ability to effectively share information about job duties in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Strong team player with other technical and non-technical team members.
  • Must be able to develop part needs from manufacturing BOM.
  • Proficient computer skills to include internet searches, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics, prints, piping, and instrumentation drawings.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to writing detailed written instructions.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and creative problem-solving skills.
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards safety.
  • A quick learner with excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Motivated, methodical, and optimistic.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Wear required PPE: nitrile gloves, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hard hat or bump cap, coveralls, respirator, and face shield as needed.
  • May encounter nickel and/or nickel-containing products. (Nickel allergies are common.)
  • Physical ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Significant amount of walking and climbing of stairs and ladders.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Exposure to shopfloor and loading hazards.
  • May be exposed to construction site.
