Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at a busy dental clinic. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires proficiency in dental office management systems and a strong attention to detail to ensure smooth operations within the clinic.
This is a is full time. Benefits offered by the practice include paid time off, Simple IRA match, dental treatment discounts and medical insurance. Flexibility to work 1-2 Saturdays a month is preferred, but not required.
Past experience in a dental office or medical office is required. Experience will be a factor in determining hourly rate.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and messages in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using systems such dentrix ascend and nexhealth.
- Review documentation for completeness and compliance office protocol
- Assist with insurance verification and processing to ensure proper billing procedures.
- Presenting treatment plans to patients and explaining out-of-pocket responsibilities
- Scanning paper documents into charts
- Ensure the front desk area is tidy and welcoming for patients.
- HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
Skills
- Proficiency dental practice management software or ability to learn to use systems.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity dental office operations is preferred.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding patient service.
