What are the responsibilities and job description for the JROTC Instructor position at Liberal USD 480?
Senior Army Instructor (SAI):
- A retired officer, Chief Warrant officer from Active component, Reserve or Guard (if one cannot be found we will consider an exception to policy for a Non-commissioned Officer E8 or E9).
- Have a 4 year degree
- Obtain a phase one qualification through USACC (www.armyjrotc.com)
- Pass an in depth background check done by Federal Govt
- Pay is equivalent to active duty pay
For the Enlisted side Army Instructor (AI)must be:
- E6-E-9, or Chief Warrant Officer
- A 2 year degree or have one with-in 5 years
- Obtain a phase one qualification through USACC (www.armyjrotc.com)
- Pass an in depth background check done by Federal Govt
- Pay is equivalent to active duty pay
The position is a unique opportunity to teach and mentor youth to become better citizens through our curriculum and co-curricular activities, as well as the Junior Cadet Leadership Challenge which is a joint camp with other programs for a week in the summer.
