Supervising Behavior Specialist
Location: Montgomery County, NY
FLSA: Non-exempt
Reports To: Director of Medical and Clinical Services
Physical requirements: The ability to utilize SCIP RR techniques is required. Regularly required to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
Hours of Work: Monday thru Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Full time 37.5 hours. Some travel required.
Pay Range: The pay range is $60,406 to $82,800
Job Summary: Supervise provision of psychological and behavior services, as well as providing services directly. Maintain records in compliance with agency policy and procedures and required regulations. Ensure subordinates comply with clinical requirements.
Job Qualifications:

- Master's Degree in psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology is required.
- A national board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA), or New York State license in mental health counseling is required.
- At least five years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior support plans is required.
- At least one year of supervisory experience is required.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Valid NYS Driver's License
Major Responsibilities:
- Supervise Behavior Specialists and manage Psychology department needs.
- Provide Psychological/Behavioral services to individuals, maintaining compliance with department and agency policy/procedure, State, local and Federal regulations.
- Provide training to agency personnel including homes and worksites.
- Record and maintain individual's behavioral records in compliance with all departmental and agency policies/procedures as well as all State, local and Federal regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and surveys as part of individuals overall plan of care.
- Participate in mandated agency training as required.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, HRC (Human Rights Committee) review and plan review, tracking and programmatic compliance.
- Crosscheck Behavioral Support plans monthly to ensure a 50% review of all BSPs and monitoring plans.
