This is a 10-week Summer Internship, with Full-Time Hours located on-site in Middletown, CT

SUMMARY OF THE JOB :

The IT – Data Management & Integration Intern will be responsible for assisting IT with the implementation of various Data Management, Analytics and Integrations solutions. Students will have the opportunity to work with a variety of systems, from traditional financial / banking applications to sophisticated SaaS solutions and other technologies. Areas of opportunity includes:

  • Data Management & Enterprise Architecture
  • System Integrations

Liberty bank is seeking a Student Intern in Data Management & Integration Services to support technology innovation initiatives. In this role, you will work across the organization to transform the way IT works. You will help develop the data reporting, system Integration, operating model, and key processes, working with internal IT and vendors to drive solutions and the adoption of new technologies. The IT Student Intern will report to the Enterprise Architecture Leader, who is responsible for delivering and improving business and IT solutions, data management, and system integrations. You will work closely with the business and IT support teams

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with business teams to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Analyze data to answer questions, identify trends, and find compelling stories within
  • Perform maintenance activities for our existing integrations, including monitoring integration jobs and helping to resolve integration issues
  • Work with business users, stakeholders, and external system vendors/suppliers to collect requirements, use case scenarios, current stage (before) and future/final stage (after)
  • Design and perform testing, evaluate integration performance
  • Coordinate and monitor activities within IT teams and across multiple business teams
  • Help develop and incorporate domain standards, practices, guidance, and roadmaps

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Self-motivated, excited about learning, comfortable working in a collaborative environment characterized by open sharing of feedback to achieve optimum outcomes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented with solid analytical capabilities – being able to see things differently than others with substance and relevance
  • Collaboration, comfortable working in cross-functional teams
  • Intellectually curious – thoughtful and inquisitive, open-minded and creative
  • Enjoys the challenge of exploring new processes and ideas
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Currently matriculated in undergraduate degree
  • Proficiency in MS-Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience providing data/research support preferred
  • Experience in data collection and analysis is preferred
  • Knowledge of Tableau, SQL, Integration tool is a plus

  • Ability to travel
