Job Description:
Liberty Behavioral and Community Services, Inc. is looking for a passionate and dedicated Staff Trainer to join our team. The Staff Trainer will play a crucial role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our staff members by developing and delivering comprehensive training programs related to behavioral health services. This position requires a strong understanding of best practices in staff training, adult learning principles, and an ability to evaluate the training needs of personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a cohesive and knowledgeable team that can effectively deliver high-quality services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
· Training Program Development:
- Design and implement training programs that encompass the essential skills and competencies required for all staff members, tailored to various roles within the organization.
- Create and update training materials, manuals, and resources as needed to ensure relevance and compliance with regulations.
- Utilize appropriate training methods including in-person sessions, workshops, e-learning, and simulations to accommodate different learning styles.
· Training Delivery:
- Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, ensuring that all participants are actively involved and able to grasp key concepts.
- Provide one-on-one support and coaching to staff members as needed, reinforcing training materials in practice.
- Conduct orientation sessions for new hires, ensuring they understand organizational culture, policies, and expectations.
· Needs Assessment & Evaluation:
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps in skills and knowledge across staff.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary.
- Prepare and maintain reports and records of training activities and participant progress.
· Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with department heads and management to align training initiatives with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding training opportunities, schedules, and expectations.
- Stay current with trends in behavioral health and staff training to ensure program content is up-to-date and relevant.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in staff training, development, or a similar role, preferably in the behavioral health field.
- Experience in instructional design and development of training curricula is highly desirable.
- Must be CPI certified.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information and interact with staff at all levels.
- Proficient in using training technology, including learning management systems, and presentation software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple training initiatives concurrently.
- Ability to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel occasionally for off-site trainings or workshops.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary to accommodate staff schedules.
