Job Title: Fire and Life Safety Technician

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire and Life Safety Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire protection and life safety systems in compliance with local, state, and national codes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm, fire suppression, and life safety systems.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, and other life safety equipment.

• Ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, local, and state regulations.

• Conduct fire safety inspections and document findings.

• Assist in emergency preparedness planning and training.

• Respond to service calls and perform emergency repairs as needed.

• Maintain accurate records and reports for all inspections and maintenance activities.

• Work closely with building managers, contractors, and local fire departments to ensure fire and life safety compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Technical or trade school preferred).

• Certification(s) such as NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) in Fire Protection or other relevant certifications preferred.

• Knowledge of fire codes, NFPA standards, and safety regulations.

• Experience with fire alarm and suppression systems (e.g., Notifier, Siemens, Simplex, etc.) is a plus.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
