What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tree and Landscape Laborer position at Liberty General Services, LLC?
Full time - 40 hrs. /week; Paid Holidays; 401K Plan; Christmas Bonus, weekly pay, Health insurance starting day 1, Dental insurance starting day 1
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must have own transportation to and from work.
- Valid driver's license, DOT card required for on-road equipment operator.
- Always adhere to company safety standards, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Self-starter who has experience with any equipment related to tree removal i.e. chainsaw, handsaw, pole saw, ropes, and woodchipper in a safe manner.
- Providing support for the arborist and other crew members by controlling lowering ropes, limbs, and persons from above.
- Able to tolerate excessive noise from machines, chainsaws, and woodchippers with the use of hearing protection.
- Must be comfortable standing, walking, and bending for long periods (up to 8 hrs.).
- Must be responsible and reliable.
- Must have the ability to work independently and /or as part of a team.
- Must be dependable in executing work instructions.
- Ability to work in all seasonal weather conditions and handle physical aspects of trees and landscaping services.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- A positive attitude; strong work ethic; a willingness to learn; accountability and timeliness are essential.
- Prior experience in Arboriculture or Landscape preferred but not required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Clean, sharpen, and lubricate tools and equipment.
- Inspect equipment and trucks: check fluids, etc.
- Operate the woodchipper safely, feed limbs, and brush into the machine.
- Operate power saws.
- Job site cleanup - collect debris from tree trimming into piles and chip and dispose of them using woodchipper, shovels, rakes, or other tools.
- Spring clean-ups.
- Mulching
- Edging
- Trimming
- Plantings: plants, trees, and shrubs
- Debris/storm clean-ups
- Landscape Construction
***Hourly rate based on years of experience, skills, and knowledge
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
