The Assistant Director of Nursing will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. This individual will be responsible for supervising and directing nursing personnel, monitoring the Quality Assurance Program, and communicating with staff and physicians about daily nursing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Work schedule preparation for all nursing personnel
- Patient visits to ensure maximum care and communication with staff and physicians
- Nursing personnel supervision and direction to assure best patient care possible
- Liaison between staff nursing and nurse management
- Quality Assurance Program monitoring
- Duty assignment to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and work performance supervision
- Nursing record accuracy and maintenance
- Infection Control Nurse responsibilities
- Decubiti monitoring and reporting
- Disciplinary actions involving nursing personnel
Requirements:
- Current RN license in North Carolina
- Two years of experience; prefer at least one year experience in skilled nursing
- Ability to work on call per rotation basis for the facility
- Genuine interest in geriatric nursing
- Decision-making skills for nursing and unit problems
- Nursing staff supervision and timely completion of work assignments
- Pressure handling, problem-solving, and job variety
