Job Description:
Hospice Registered Nurse (Weekends)
At Liberty Hospice, we provide state-of-the-art care and pain management services to our patients with terminal illnesses, delivered by specially trained staff who emphasize strength, dignity, and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care and documentation of patient care that meets reimbursement guidelines
- Coordinate physical care of the patient with family, patient, physician, and Hospice team
- Attend and participate in IDT meetings and quality reviews as scheduled by agency
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice
- Successful completion of a nursing education from an approved school of nursing
- Two years of clinical nursing experience and at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Framework, function, and organization of a home health and hospice care program
- Nurse's role as a member of the patient care team
- Principles and practice of nursing according to nursing practice act, agencies policies and procedures, and reimbursement guidelines
Additional Responsibilities:
- Accept travel assignments based on agency need
- Weekend, evening, and holiday call assignments
