AWS DevOps Engineer
As an AWS DevOps Engineer on the team, you won't just be using the cloud – you'll be mastering it to support our innovative AI initiatives. You will be directly managing Kubernetes clusters, ensuring their performance, reliability, and security, specifically tailored to the demands of AI workloads. Your strong Python skills will be crucial in automating processes, building AI-focused tools, and driving efficiency.
What you'll be doing:
- Architecting, deploying, and maintaining highly available and scalable infrastructure on AWS to support AI applications.
- Directly managing Kubernetes clusters, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting, with a focus on optimizing for AI workloads.
- Developing and implementing automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline AI deployment and operations.
- Ensuring the security and compliance of our AI infrastructure and data pipelines.
- Troubleshooting complex system issues across the stack, with a focus on AI-related challenges.
- Collaborating closely with data scientists and AI/ML engineers to ensure smooth and efficient deployment and operation of AI models.
- Leveraging your deep understanding of Linux and networking principles to optimize our environment for AI workloads.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our DevOps practices and tooling in the context of AI application support.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on AWS.
- Extensive hands-on experience directly managing Kubernetes clusters (not just using managed services like EKS).
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, etc.).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools, ideally with experience in deploying AI/ML models.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues in complex AI environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience supporting AI/ML workloads, including GPU-based infrastructure.
- Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools.
- AWS certifications (e.g., Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools relevant to AI applications (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, MLflow).
- Contributions to open-source projects.
