Full-time field based position to start-up, commission, and test Direct Digital Control (DDC) and Building Automation Systems (BAS). Projects will include ground up and tenant improvement construction projects.

My client is a well respected Building Automation and Mechanical Contracting firm who is seeking Building Automation Controls Technician with strong ability to install , service or troubleshoot Building Automation Systems.
Full-time field based position to start-up, commission, and test Direct Digital Control (DDC) and Building Automation Systems (BAS). Projects will include ground up and tenant improvement construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Interfacing with customers and contractors in a professional manner.
- Perform DDC controls start-up, point to point, program downloads.
- Perform sequence testing of the download programs. Run through functional performance test plan. Make adjustments to FEC programming when needed.
- Interface with HVAC equipment start-up technicians to ensure proper interface and connection between DDC and equipment.
- Make clear and concise redlines on DDC shop drawings during start-up process.
- Verify wiring is installed correctly per our DDC shop drawings.
- Troubleshooting and repairing controllers, devices, and programming.
- Minimum education: High school diploma or GED
- Experience reading wiring, mechanical, electrical, and/or DDC control drawings
- Understanding of large commercial HVAC systems such as chilled water plants, heating hot water plants, air handlers, water source heat pumps, VAVs, etc
- Knowledge of JCI FEC, PCG, CCT, SCT and/or Distech Controls/Niagara 4 are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in an efficient manner
