- Develop system layouts, schematics, and detailed designs utilizing AutoCAD and Revit for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings
- Design & develop HVAC systems for commercial and industrial projects, ensuring energy efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Produce detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for HVAC systems using engineering software, i.e. AutoCAD, and Revit
- Perform detailed heating and cooling load calculations according to ASHRAE standards to accurately determine appropriate equipment required
- Collaborate closely with team members, leadership, clients, architects, and associated contractors, to integrate HVAC systems into building designs
- Confirm created designs meet local building codes, industry standards and safety regulations
- Work with multi-discipline staff in designing and implementing mechanical systems in new or existing buildings
- Ability to perform project site visits during design and construction to ensure proper implementation of the design document
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Plumbing Engineer or equivalent
- Minimum of two (w) or more years of engineering experience in the design of HVAC systems
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Engineer in Training (EIT) desired
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Revit experience
- Knowledge/understanding of LEED and Green Building practices is a plus
- Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus
- Strong people skills maintaining professional client relationships
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
