What You'll Do :
- Needs Assessment : Design, implement, and regularly conduct skills and needs assessments, specifically for technology and software engineering roles, to identify competency gaps and training needs across the department (in collaboration with leadership).
- Program Design & Implementation : Leveraging your understanding of software engineering practices and the SDLC, coordinate courses, onboarding programs, workshops, and other training activities (internal or external) tailored to the Technology department's needs. This includes scheduling, organizing, and sometimes facilitating events.
- Project Management : Act as project manager for Training and Development initiatives within the Technology department, working closely with leadership to ensure projects stay on track and meet established goals.
- Onboarding Excellence : Design and coordinate a comprehensive onboarding program for new hires in the Technology department, helping them quickly and effectively integrate into the department's culture, development standards, and practices.
- Guidance & Resources : Advise employees and leaders on training and development options, providing resources for self-directed learning.
- Evaluation & Improvement : Establish performance metrics for Training & Development programs. Track progress and effectiveness through feedback and KPIs, analyze results, and identify new strategies or improvements.
- Tool Management : Ensure that training tools are functioning optimally, up-to-date, and accessible to employees.
- Budget Management : Manage the training program budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to departmental financial plans.
- Adhere to the company's Code of Conduct, including reporting any compliance concerns.
