Job Summary:
As a Parts Specialist at our Liberty Chrysler-Jeep-Fiat store you will work in the dealership serving our customers over the counter or by phone as well as assisting our service department secure necessary parts and supplies. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, greeting customers, listening to requests, tracking and ordering inventory, and advising customers on automotive parts provided by Liberty Superstores.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists customers in selecting required or desired parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner and sells them while keeping their best interest in mind.
- Answers phone calls and provides price quotes and other information to the customer.
- Recommend customers of any related parts required, inform them of parts specials, and ensure the customer is informed of full product lines.
- Keeps an accurate record of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates and special-order parts.
- Completes customer sales by obtaining payment and entering purchased items into sales and inventory system.
- Assists in maintaining stock by unpacking, arranging, and placing parts in the desired location.
- Pulls and fills orders from stock and notifies the Parts Manager of any parts that are out-of-stock.
- Maintains communication with the Service Advisor and the customer informing them when special ordered parts have been received.
- Ensures that all parts sales are signed by the customer and that all customers receive a copy of their invoice.
- Issues credit for parts returned and examine them for any defects.
- Maintains knowledge of new products and product updates.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally lift 15-30 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience in automotive parts sales is highly desired.
- Customer service and/or sales experience required.
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
