What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement position at Liberty University?
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance alumni engagement and community building.
2. Oversee the administration and maintenance of the alumni website and Champion Connect online platform, ensuring up-to-date and relevant content.
3. Create compelling content and copy for various platforms, including newsletters, blogs, and social media.
4. Implement marketing and communication plans to promote alumni events and initiatives.
5. Produce and manage audio/video content to support alumni outreach and engagement efforts.
6. Support OAE by developing processes to track the effectiveness of all aspects of alumni engagement.
7. In coordination with the Associate Director of Alumni Engagement, identify and implement strategic alumni engagement programs that will create pathways for lifelong relationships.
8. Coordinate with Office of Alumni Engagement colleagues and work with various departments and schools to enhance cross-campus collaboration.
9. In coordination with the Center for Donor Engagement, manage the fulfillment of Alumni ID cards.
10. Other duties assigned.
Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1-2 years of related experience in marketing and communications.
- Individual must not be in default on any federal student or parent loan.
- Individual must not be convicted of, or have pled nolo contendere or guilty to, a crime involving the acquisition, use, or expenditure of federal, state, or local government funds, -or- be administratively or judicially determined to have committed fraud or any other material violation of law involving federal, state, or local government funds (CFR 668.14(b)(18)(i)).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in strategic communications, Digital Media, Social Media, or Marketing.
- 1-2 years of management leadership experience.
- Photography and videography experience.
