What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Recruiter I position at Liberty University?
The National Recruiter I will provide guidance to prospective students and their families through the means of collecting inquiries and applications at college fairs and high schools; handling inbound/outbound phone calls, emails, chats, and texts; and supporting on campus events. They will assist prospective students through all phases of the recruitment and enrollment process: inquiry (requesting information about LU), applying to the university, submitting admissions documents, and ultimately completing financial check-in and enrolling in courses.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
A bachelor's degree and strong communication skills are required. Previous customer service or phone experience preferred. Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature. Excellent computer and organizational skills. Regularly lift 20 pounds or fewer.
Approximately 25% of this job will be executed in a climate-controlled setting, such as an office, school, convention center, or other event venue. Approximately 75% of this job is conducted on the road. Working environments will vary. Much of the time on the road will be in a plane, train, or other automobile. Other opportunities may be in non-climate controlled outdoor settings at events such as music festivals, or other outdoor venues. Must be willing to work long shifts (12 hours ) on both weekdays and weekends. Proof of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record is required. This position requires travel in a LU approved vehicle.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Contact prospective students on a daily basis through a variety of communication channels to follow-up with inquiries and applicants regarding their enrollment to Liberty University.
- Guide students on the process of applying to the university and submitting a confirmation deposit; collection of fees for both processes are expected and will require PCI compliance.
- Guide students on the financial aid process and scholarship opportunities.
- Guide students through Financial Check-In to secure their enrollment.
- Assist students with course registration and choosing a degree program that will best match their desired career.
- Adhere to Federal regulations such as, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and other governing regulations, to ensure the privacy and protection concerning prospective students.
- Participate in university events throughout the calendar year such as College For A Weekend, Experience LU, Summer Orientation, and similar on campus events.
- Actively promote Liberty University at high schools, churches, music festivals, conferences, or other select venues.
- Manage travel schedule for school visits, meetings with guidance counselors, youth pastors, and other influencers or students.
- Keep databases updated and maintained pertaining to personal activity. This responsibility includes expense data, visit data, inquiry and application counts, contact information gathered and other pertinent data.
- Provide on-campus tours as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
