The position fosters and increases public awareness of the Library, defines and targets audiences for its public-affairs programs and assesses the effectiveness of those programs. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Communications, the Lead Public Affairs Specialist serves as a liaison between the Library and its online audiences, developing internal strategies for identifying audiences and engaging with these audiences using digital content, social media, and other digital tools.
