This position is located in the Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection, Outreach and Small Business Resource Center (SBRC). The Program Analyst will utilize multiple systems and data software to extract and collect data to enhance the daily operations of the Outreach and SBRC, increase customer satisfaction and improve data reporting. The Program Analyst will demonstrate the ability to analyze, review compound data and make recommendations based on the data analysis. Additionally, the candidate will develop, coordinate and facilitate business development workshops during business and non-traditional business hours. Ability to expand District and Federal government partnerships. The idea candidate will also research and report of best practice studies and small business development opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate selected for this position will assist customers with education and direction on establishing a small business on routine questions. The candidate will assist or lead one-on-ones pertaining to regulatory process plan building. The candidate will be tasked with expanding the SBRC city-wide partnerships to leverage the planning and implementation of trainings, counseling, resource opportunities and streamlining processes. In order to maintain and enhance the SBRC’s public trust, the selected candidate will need to be confident and well versed in SBRC content being delivered. The candidate should possess a combination of creativity, analytical skills, and be well versed in small business market trends to contribute to the expansion of services that the SBRC currently provides. The candidate provides technical assistance in the design, development and implementation of improved program designs/operations. Reviews and analyzes planning and operation activities of major program areas administered by the department.
The candidate selected for this position will streamline data to ensure better accessibility for all SBRC reports, extract, compile and analyze SBRC customer data, review data and edit inconsistencies for more efficient reporting, conduct routine maintenance as needed to ensure data integrity, generate and review documentation for all database changes or refinements, and coordinate and facilitate business development workshops.
Qualifications and Education
Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the individual with the knowledge, skill and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.
Preferred: Incumbent is bilingual in Spanish, Amharic, Chinese, French, Korean, or Vietnamese
