Summary
Lidl US is searching for the next Senior Learning & Development Specialist to join our HR Team! The Consultant- Learning & Development supports and sustains the Talent Management process for Lidl US. Reporting to the Director- Talent Management, this position is responsible for all training needs by creating engaging material to reinforce the development of our employees. In addition, this role provides a broad range of HR support of business objectives, strategic goals, and human resource initiatives.
- This position works at our Headquarters in Arlington, VA on a hybrid 3-day schedule.
What You'll Do
Effectively manage projects and project timelines while working independently and collaboratively to achieve short, medium, and long-term departmental visionsEvaluate industry best practices and monitor developments and innovations within the retail sector particular to their business that may be beneficial to the daily operations of the organizationAnalyze and evaluate projects and develop ideas and / or practical solutions for streamlining business processesUtilize instructional systems design models, adult learning model, and a creative approach to developing training projects that align with business objectivesManage long term initiatives including large scale training projects, asynchronous virtual trainings, monthly training projects and employee onboardingProvide project management to create evidence based learning solutions and evaluate their effectivenessResponsible for the oversight of the learning management system, SuccessFactors LearningUpdate guidelines, standard operating procedures, and instructional materialsIdentify, develop, and propose opportunities for business and process improvementSupport in projects both domestic and international, producing business requirements, performing business system tests and technical improvementsWhat You'll Need

Experience in Instructional DesignAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateAbility to work independently with excellent follow-throughExcellent presentation and facilitation skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareRequired Education, Certifications / Licenses, Related Experience
Bachelor's degree3-5 years of experience in a related fieldIn lieu of degree, 5 years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed abovePhysical Job Requirements
