IT Project Manager

• Reviews project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
• Provides IT technical expertise throughout the scope of the project, to include evaluating, testing, and/or implementing IT solutions.
• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
• Confers with project staff to outline work-plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
• Directs and coordinates activities of assigned project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules and/or plans as required.
• Prepares project reports and risk assessments for management, client, or others.
• Organizes and conducts meetings to discuss projects and progress.
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
• Responsible for all local Cloud applications approvals, checklists and communications with division and global IT.
• Communicates and collaborates with Global, division, and other local IT departments to provide common IT solutions.
• Creates documentation for IT personnel and end users.

• Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in IT Related Field, Project Management, or Business Management from four-year College or university and 2 years of relevant experience; or 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current PMP, CAPN, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification(s) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or other Project management tools is preferred.
• Project Management: Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.
• Quality: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
• IT Technical Expertise: Knowledge of IT Infrastructures, IT Applications, IT Security, and Networking.
• Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license and passport
• Ability to maintain Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) certification
• Ability to obtain and maintain electrical certification in high, medium and low voltage
• Serve on 24/7 rosters up to 12-hour shifts, one week on and one week off.
