Arbor Day Farm is the 260-acre property owned and operated by the Arbor Day Foundation where our mission comes to life.
You Will:
- Supervise. Establish training plans, engage team members, manage the budget, staffing, and inventory.
- Interpret. Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), attend and participate in weekly BEO meetings.
- Coordinate. Executing all special events including major holidays, on and off property. Facilitating transitions seamlessly.
- Build relationships. Work with all internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner, creating and honoring relationships to encourage return visits
- Achieve. You work diligently to maintain positive guest satisfaction scores and continually improve processes.
- Inform. You stay on top of technology trends and create purchasing plans for constant improvement.
- Calculate. Ability to post all banquet/catering events checks/tickets immediately after each event.
You Have:
- Experience: You have 1-5 years of experience in a standardized Banquet or Restaurant or food and beverage outlet. Preferred but not limited to also 1-5 experience in a high-volume restaurant as AGM or GM.
- Leadership skills. Patience, grace, and a real love to teach others the knowledge that has brought you success. Being timely and consistent in how you manage events and staff is incredibly important. A sense of humor is not required but greatly encouraged!
- Technology aptitude. Basic knowledge of computer systems and POS systems.
- Positive energy. The ability to multi-task without losing composure. Manage interpersonal situations with guests and staff throughout the property.
- Consistency. You want to deliver the same energy and professionalism with each event and with each member of the Banquet team and beyond.
- Attention to detail. Your ability to see how all the small things matter when putting on large events. How every water spots, carpet stain means the difference for how our guests perceive our property and our staff.
- Certifications and or a degree. You have a food handler card or certificate, or the willingness to obtain one. Any Hospitality degree is preferred but not required. What is required is the desire to learn and a true passion to improve and not just do what is asked.
