The Role

Life Alive is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Analyst to drive reporting, analytics, and finance operations. In this role, the Analyst will be responsible for supporting key finance and accounting functions, including regular reporting, cafe finance operations, and corporate-level projects. This person will be self-motivated, with strong attention to detail, and a passion for process improvement. They will work to increase accuracy and efficiency in the close, build actionable reporting and analysis to help leadership and retail teams make effective decisions, and facilitate ad-hoc projects to support the Life Alive business. This role will work with the Senior Manager Finance and report to the VP Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and analyze weekly sales and labor reporting for cafes and catering, and share insights with operations
• Manage period-level product mix summaries and analysis
• Support regular reporting & analysis efforts through both excel and the QuickSight BI dashboard
• Weekly Sales
• Product Mix
• Item Attachment
• Theoretical food costing
• Support guest cohort analysis through regular reporting and analysis of $Thrive loyalty data, working with Marketing team to analyze campaign ROIs
• Partner with others on Finance team to support menu pricing process including comp analysis and margin review
• Prepare reports/analyses and participate in other projects as needed
• Assist and/or manage on-going company-wide initiatives and projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum 3 years of finance or accounting experience in a relevant industry - restaurant experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience in detail-oriented data reporting and analysis
• Demonstrated experience in modeling ad hoc projects
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with SQL a plus
