What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Specialist (2 yrs exp required) position at Life Beyond Barriers Rehabilitation Group?
Life Beyond Barriers Rehabilitation Group is seeking a full-time medical billing professional available immediately. The ideal candidate would have CPC certification and at least 2 years of experience managing auto and worker’s comp claims with a high degree of accuracy and proven track record of successfully closing out claims. Experience in working with Medicaid and working claim denials is required.
In general, medical billing and coding professionals perform these job duties:
- Verify insurance benefits on new and existing patients
- Coordinating insurance prior authorization for services
- Following up on incorrect denials from payers
- Filing appeal letters for under-reimbursement/no reimbursement of charges submitted
- Manage medical record requests
- Contact clients regarding past due account balances
- Process credit card payments
