We are currently seeking hospitality minded Security Supervisor.

GENERAL SUMMARY :
The Safety / Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the care and maintenance of all aspects of the Safety / Security department to insure a safe and secure environment for all residents, visitors, staff and protecting Community property; hiring, training and supervising of all Safety / Security personnel; facilitating life safety and security programs; develop and establish Safety / Security policies; works in accordance with established policies and procedures and / or specific instructions from the Plant Operations Director.
Essential Job Duties :
- Plan, coordinate and direct the operations of the Safety / Security department. Supervise the performance of security personnel through inspections and other quality assurance procedures.
- Hire, trains, evaluates, disciplines and terminates employees in the security department. Review departmental work assignments / tasks to determine proper staffing levels and utilization of labor hours. Delegate authority to security personnel for task details to facilitate smooth operation of the security department.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures as needed.
- Develop and implement goals for security personnel.
- Understand the requirements of Federal and state DHEC and Life Safety Codes, local codes, laws and regulations governing the community. Ensure compliance with Life Safety requirements and guide surveys and evaluations as needed. Prepares and maintains required records and reports.
- Monitors and ensures that the community adheres to sound Safety / Security Practices and Programs.
- Function as "Fire Safety Coordinator" for the community.
- Coordinates safety / security needs with other departments.
- Conduct employee evaluations appropriately and ensure timely completion and processing.
- Makes scheduled rounds both inside and outside the buildings to maintain a secure environment for residents and their property as well as company property.
- Responds to all fire alarms and apartment emergency calls.
- Shovels and keeps clear exit door walkways during and after snowstorms / ice storms.
