Department : CLS / Fitness
Schedule : Monday & Wednesday 9 : 00am-11 : 00am
Pay : Contract $50 / per class

Who you are :
- High School education or equivalent preferred. Other applicable education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Current CPR / AED and First Aid Certification ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to ensure the safety and well-being of class participants.
- Ability to instruct various Tai Chi forms along with Qigong preferred; specific abilities to instruct in Yang-24 form Tai Chi required.
- Two or more years of experience teaching Tai Chi preferred; specific experience working with older adults required.
- Some depth of knowledge in both Eastern & Western approaches to fitness & wellness preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
General Summary :
The Tai Chi instructor is a contracted employee on the Community Life Services team, serving Senior Adult Residents. This position is supervised by the Fitness Manager and will design and lead Tai Chi classes.
