General Description : This position is responsible for managing a demanding corporate purchasing, supply chain and inventory operation.
Core Duties and Responsibilities :
- Purchase, negotiate and manage the supply chain for assigned purchased components, products and materials
- Responsible for working in conjunction with vendors, contract manufacturers and other departments within the organization to ensure supply of all assigned raw materials
- Responsible for reviewing actual sales versus forecast and expedite orders as needed to ensure overstock and backorder situations never occur unexpectedly for assigned products
- Maintains systemic information to ensure customer facing departments are updated with current product availability information
- Collaborate with other key departments regarding new and existing products
- Review and approve all pricing discrepancies as applicable
- Communicate corporate wide regarding new products and product changes
- Provide reports with pertinent information to other departments and executives within the organization
- Conduct cycle counts on assigned purchased component inventories at contract manufacturers and the corporate warehouse
- Attend applicable trade shows
- 40% onsite attendance is an essential function of this position
- Travel as necessary
- Additional duties as assigned
