Position Overview:
The Supported Living Client Program Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the care and well-being of individuals receiving supported living services. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality care while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Life Force Services policies and procedures aligned with the Department of Disability Association (DDA) guidelines. The Manager provides direct supervision, coordination, and support for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), Life Skills Instructors, care coordinators, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Service Plan Management:
- Assist in developing and maintaining client service plans, ensuring all services are provided as defined.
- Monitor client progress and make adjustments to service plans when necessary.
- Collaborate with the internal care team and external service providers to maintain quality care.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Conduct weekly quality assurance audits of supported living homes, addressing safety issues, client needs, and adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure that staff follow client Person Centered Service Plans and comply with DDA policies.
- Staff Supervision and Scheduling:
- Schedule and manage shift coverage for staff assigned to each client, arranging for relief coverage when needed.
- Regularly communicate with staff regarding client care and program operations, and hold monthly house meetings.
- Medication and Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate medication inventory, receive pharmacy deliveries, and verify accuracy.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain ongoing communication with DDA case managers, client representatives, and relevant stakeholders.
- Fulfill mandated reporting responsibilities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Behavioral Competencies:
- Proven experience as a DSP or caregiver in supported living or assisted living environments, with management experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage staff, prioritize tasks, and delegate responsibilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude, with an open-minded and inclusive mindset.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor, particularly under pressure.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, including health information protected by HIPAA.
- Knowledge of company, DDA policies, and regulations, including WAC and DDA guidelines.
- Flexibility to work off-shifts, on-call, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Technical Skills Required:
- Proficiency in using computers and related technology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Experience, Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in supervising employees in a related field is preferred.
- Caregiving or related healthcare experience is required.
- First Aid, CPR, and Blood Borne Pathogens certification (provided through monthly training).
- Valid Washington State driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
