At Lifehouse we focus on helping each person we support have the opportunity to lead a full life in their community. Our Recreation Manager helps to plan, implement, and oversee recreational programs and events that enrich the lives of the people we support.
What you will be doing :
Program Development and Management
- Designing and creating a diverse range of recreational programs based on community needs, including sports leagues, fitness classes, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and special events.
- Adapting programs to cater to individuals with different abilities and demographics.
- Researching and incorporating new recreational trends and best practices.
- Hiring, training, and supervising recreation volunteers, to ensure quality program delivery.
- Scheduling volunteers, assigning responsibilities for programs, and evaluating performance.
Operations and Outreach
Developing and managing the recreation program budget, including tracking expenses and revenue.Securing funding through grants, sponsorships, and fundraising initiatives.Promoting recreation programs through various channels like websites, social media, newsletters, and community partnerships.Engaging with community members and local organizations to cross-promote, gather feedback, and identify program needs.Maintaining necessary certifications and compliance with relevant regulations.Why you should apply

Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Physical Education, Community Development, or related field preferredAt least one year of experience with working with people with I / DD preferredStrong planning and organization skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse organization, while maintaining a positive work environment and leading change through teamwork.Creative problem solving and decision-making skills to guide appropriate solutions.Strong written and verbal communication.Able to lift more than 50 pounds.Pay : $76,300.00 per year
