Chassis Assistant (Part-Time) – Keep Things Moving!
Location: Sumner, IA Part-Time (25-30 Hours/Week)
Monday – Friday 6:00am – 3:30pm – Flexible Scheduled Daytime Hours
Are you looking for a hands-on, part-time role where you can stay active, work with vehicles, and help keep operations running smoothly? Life Line Emergency Vehicles, a leading ambulance manufacturer, is seeking a Chassis Assistant to support our team in prepping, transporting, and organizing chassis for production.
What You’ll Do:
Prep and inspect chassis for production—wash, stage, and assign them to units.
Drive chassis to vendors across the Cedar Valley for add-ons, repairs, and recalls.
Work with vendors to coordinate installations like Liquid Springs and AC compressors.
Organize and manage inventory in warehouse staging areas.
Assist with quality control and logistics to keep everything running smoothly.
Operate forklifts safely (we’ll certify you if needed!).
What We’re Looking For:
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (driving is a key part of this role).
Strong organizational skills—you’ll help keep schedules on track.
Problem-solving mindset—work with vendors and internal teams to get the job done.
A self-starter who takes initiative and follows through.
Forklift experience is a plus, but we can provide training!
