Position Title: Education Team - ParaPro
Full-time: 37.5 hrs/wk
FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $14.00-$16.00/hr Depending on Experience
Supplemental pay is available for extra duties
Schedule: Monday – Friday. Follows the 170 day school calendar.
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm with a 30 minute non-paid lunch.

Requirements for this Position

Essential Functions of this Job
- Professional duties will involve attending meetings and in-service as necessary, and becoming acquainted with philosophies, policies, procedures, equipment, and the classroom where assigned.
- Clerical assistance will be performed when needed to assist the supervisor to which one is assigned.
- Supervision and/or reinforcement of instruction of students in various situations and programs will probably be required.
- Preparation of instructional materials will be assigned as needed.
- Classroom assistance will be required when given a classroom or an extension of the classroom assignment.
- Technology will be used to enhance instruction and aid in tasks assigned.
- Specialized duties may require cleaning the classroom and campus, providing health care assistance to students and other team members, interpretation of speech and/or languages, operation of adaptive equipment, and physical assistance to impaired students or adults.
- The need for personal transportation may be a requirement.
- Special Covid-19 protocols must be followed.
Work Context
- Requires sitting, standing, walking, and moving about to coordinate work.
- Requires the use of alternative communication systems, such as computers, software, electronic mail, and telephones.
- Requires coordination of work tasks to establish priorities, set goals and meet deadlines.
- Requires face-to-face virtual discussions and contact with individuals and/or teams.
- Requires work with students, internal and external contacts, parents, and the public.
Physical Environment
- Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions, and outdoors for dining and some classes.
- Requires sitting, standing and the ability to lift, carry, move and/or position objects frequently weighing up to 20 pounds and infrequently weighing more than 20 pounds.
