Job Description
As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's information technology systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about technology, problem-solving, and customer service to launch their careers in the IT field.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Evaluate complex issues and escalate them to senior IT staff when necessary.
- Assist in setting up, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
- Install, upgrade, and update software packages, ensuring proper functionality and compatibility.
- Support basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity issues, router configurations, and wireless connectivity.
- Assist with maintaining network security measures, such as firewall settings and antivirus software.
- Develop and deliver training to users on software applications and technology best practices.
- Create and update documentation, including user guides and knowledge base articles, to facilitate self-help and improve user experience.
- Maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets, including tracking warranties and licenses.
- Monitor systems for performance and security, reporting any anomalies or potential issues to senior IT staff.
- Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and tasks, contributing to a supportive and productive work environment.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
