Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
- Under limited supervision, performs repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance on complex biomedical equipment to enhance its clinical effectiveness.
- Services electronic, pneumatic and fluidic medical systems.
- Displays a positive image in all encounters with patients and customers, demonstrating the required customer services expectations of Northwest Hospital.
- Maintains accurate and complete documentation of all work performed.
- Communicates with progress, developments, and delays on a regular basis to the supervisor.
- Provides on-call coverage for critical technical problems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field.
- Biomedical Technology. An equivalent degree in Electronics with an additional two years experience as a hospital biomedical technician is acceptable.
- 3-5 years of experience.
