Job Title: Recreation Therapist
Location: Levindale Hospital
Shift: Part-time, Day Shift, Weekends (8:00am-4:30pm)
Summary
The Recreation Therapist provides a continuum of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcome-based treatment, leisure education, and recreation participation interventions for patients as ordered by the physician and/or designated by the manager.
Responsibilities
- Provides physician-ordered, billable treatment to a diverse population in acute rehab, chronic care, ventilator-dependent, and geropsych settings.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans.
- Conducts assessments, evaluates progress, and makes recommendations for continued care or discharge planning.
- Maintains accurate records and reports on patient outcomes and program effectiveness.
Requirements
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) with one year of experience or internship in a rehab/hospital setting.
- Experience with MDS and care planning process preferred.
