Development Associate
Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Reports To: Associate Director of Development
Overview
The Development Associate is a vital member of the development team, providing administrative and logistical support to ensure the smooth daily operations of fundraising, marketing, and donor engagement efforts. This position serves as the right-hand to the Associate Director of Development, playing a key role in achieving organizational goals. This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work to support flexibility and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing and Communications Coordination:
- Prepare and schedule social media posts, email campaigns, and website updates.
- Collaborate on the creation and distribution of marketing materials.
- Administrative Support:
- Manage department supplies, track financial information related to donations, and handle general office tasks.
- Research prospective donors and funding opportunities.
- Work within Raiser’s Edge to manage and organize data.
- Event Support:
- Assist with logistics for fundraising events, including coordination of materials, vendor communication, and on-site support.
- Grant Preparation:
- Conduct research and assist with writing and submitting grant proposals.
- Support preparation and execution of grant-related activities.
- Community Engagement:
- Represent the organization at occasional community partner events.
- Donor Database Management:
- Oversee Raiser’s Edge, ensuring accurate data entry and regular updates.
- Process donations, generate timely acknowledgment letters, and reconcile gift records with financial systems.
- Create and run reports, queries, and mailing lists to support campaigns and donor communications.
- Collaborate with the development team to implement data management and reporting best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in donor database management (e.g., Raiser’s Edge or similar).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team setting.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
