In this position you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial data and maintaining accurate financial records for general ledger accounts within a manufacturing environment.
Work arrangements: This can either be a full-time onsite position or hybrid (3 days onsite/2 days remote)
In this position you will have the opportunity to support the following areas:
Period Close
- Prepare the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Support internal and external financial reporting packages.
Account Reconciliations
- Perform regular reconciliations of key accounts, including bank accounts, credit card accounts, and all other balance sheet accounts.
- Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner and ensure accurate reporting.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and support external audits, including providing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Remediation of internal control deficiencies and testing of key controls.
Asset Acquisition & Disposal
- Record all asset acquisitions in the fixed asset subledger, ensuring proper documentation and approval of capital expenditures.
- Work closely with the engineering and production departments to track capital projects (e.g., machinery installation or building improvements).
- Monitor capital spending against budgeted amounts and prepare reports on the status of ongoing capital projects.
Capitalization & Depreciation
- Manage and keep the fixed asset ledger, ensuring accurate recording of all capital expenditures, disposals, and transfers.
- Ensure that capital assets (e.g., machinery, equipment, buildings) are accurately categorized, recorded, and depreciated according to company policy and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related required.
- CPA or CMA preferred
- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Sr. or supervisory role.
- Experience with financial reporting, general ledger functions, and month-end/year-end closing processes is essential.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas) for analysis and reporting.
- Strong fixed asset accounting, including capitalization rules and depreciation understanding of methods.
- Experience with cost accounting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Diligence and accuracy in work
- Epicor ERP, Lease Crunch, SOX compliance/audit and tax compliance processes preferred.
- Manufacturing or production environment experience a plus.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
